You don't have 1 pound notes in the UK?

Is it just coins for the single pounds? I went to London about 10 years ago but I thought I remembered using singles on the underground... I guess that was before the Euro tho... if that even makes a difference.


I love how easy it is to talk to people from other countries using the internet.

And I love London and all of Europe for that matter, can't wait to go back.

Nope, the smallest denomination is the �5 note. Everything smaller than that is coinage 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, �1 and �2.

We haven't entered the Euro as the � is still strong(ish). I think the Swedish aren't in the single currency either.

As far as the UK, I only visited London. I don't really remember alot of the places I went, it was 10 years ago after all. Went to alot of pubs in what I assume is the downtown heart of London. I hate to say it but I only remember the Hard Rock...

After London, I went to Paris, Rome and Amsterdam. It was a great trip.


I've always wanted to visit the English countryside. I haven't had a chance to go back since but I plan on it in the future. Money is always a factor however.

I think my next trip will probably be Japan... I'd like to go a couple other places before I make it back to the UK just in case I don't get another chance.

Ever been to the states? I assume so if you have a wad of $1 bills.

I love the new gimmick theyre trying to use to get people to stop drinking soda... They say if you drink 1 soda every day for a year, youll gain 10 pounds...... i drink like 4 or more sodas a day... for like the last 10 years... I still weigh 145, the same as i weighed when i finished high school like 6 years back... im sure my liver will die before i gain weight from it :-p

Q: Do you want a special creamer for your coffee?
A: Nope I�ll just use what you have there.

Q: What kind of drinks do you want?
A: Water and sweet tea? I don�t really drink much of anything except sweet tea, water and coffee.

Q: Are you bringing your own liquor?
A: I haven�t even thought about drinking�I get to drink with ya�ll?!?!?

That is a huge deal...I've never drank with my Aunt and Uncle. She replied back with: "You�re almost 21 � you could join the military and fight for your country. You can drink but I have to hold your keys! And you can�t get drunk!!!"

That totally just made my day!
