I hate how rude and selfish society has become. Everyday, I come close to physically harming some inconsiderate A-hole. My dad raised me to be considerate & polite. Why?! No one else is....and now I feel like a fish out of water whenever I go out in public. Has society always been this bad? Am I just now noticing it, or is this something new?

I feel you man. I'm not necessarily the most polite guy in the world but I am considerate. I'm never rude to a stranger, I respect everyone until they give me a reason not to.
We are seen as weak and therefore get taken advantage of (in one way or another) by people who are inconsiderate and self-centered. It makes me sick that people can't make the effort to just let someone in your lane in traffic, hold the door for someone, move over to one side of the sidewalk to not force someone off into the road, etc.

I also hate how impatient people are and I'm very guilty of this.

Theres a women in my town who used to go to almost every salon in town. Eventually she had to buy her own bed because no one would let her use their salon.

Yep. A lot of people mistake kindness for weakness....then they act all victimized when you finally lose your patience with them. It's in these times that I miss where I grew up...but unfortunately that town is probably infected now as well. *sigh*
