I hate when people don't know how to use words properly

"then" instead of "than"
When people say "ValenTIME's Day"
"EveRy" since I was a little boy

Also when people add syllables: "Sat-ur-n" instead of "Sat-urn"

And it also irks me when people set a cordless phone down NEXT to the charger instead of putting it on the charger...AH!

I completely agree about the language items. One of my favorites that I've seen multiple times is people accusing others of "bad grammer."

But I have to say that, for the cordless phone, it's not good to keep it on the charger 24 / 7. Let the battery run down, re-charge it, then take it off the charger. I'm sure the newer batteries have less of an issue with "memory" than the old ones did, but there's no reason to store it on the charger...
