A friend drops their cellphone into a "lake" over 24 hours ago and was not able to recover the phone or the SIM card. Someone calls it and the cellphone is still has a tone when called. Did the friend recover the cellphone, get a new SIM card, lied about dropping it into a lake, or is this a natural occurrence?

    Got a new phone..?
You can still get a phone without the sim. Just transfer the data and deactivate the old sim.

True, but this friend does not have any spare phones, has not had the time to find one who does, or the money to purchase a new phone.

Yep, a 24 hour swim with the fish is not going to be good for a phone. I am also calling lie on this one.
