    I know, it's almost like a downgrade with the 9700 right around the corner. He was ******** that the Tour didn't have wifi.

    The only reason he hates it is because he is getting a lot of dropped calls with the carrier he is with.. (he loves everything else about it) I emailed the show and advised that he should just get his Bold unlocked and switch to a more reliable carrier....I never heard back but am assuming from this post that he never got my email or just cant be bothered....;

    Like stated above, he is switching because he hates AT&T's service, not the phone.

    I know he's had problems with At&t service since the very beginning.
    He is smart to stick with BB. At least he didn't go iPhone.

    I know he doesn't hate his Bold. It's just the service.
    I should have worded it better.

    It sounds like AT&T is not a reliable carrier in NYC. I've never been to NYC, so I don't know how bad their service is, but most of the complaints about AT&T's service have been from customers in NYC.

    So you take it as a personal insult that Stern is switching from a Bold to a Tour? It's still a BB.

    Are you somehow under the impression that the 9700 will make AT&T service more reliable?

    AT&T is known to be awful in NYC and San Fran. Because of this AT&T is turning on the 850mhz channel in both cities to basically double their spectrum.

    T-Mobile isn't rated much better than AT&T in NYC. New York, NY - Cell Phone Coverage - Page 1 of 45 - Mobiledia

    Verizon has the best rating.

    I had a site I manage mentioned on Stern a few months back, it got about 10,000 unique visitors in an hour before the host went down. The hits continued for days after that too. So ya Id say he's still relevant.

    Also Verizon is the most expensive of them all.

    I would take expensive + reliable over inexpensive and unreliable (which T-mobile is in my area)

    I don't think Verizon is any more expensive than AT&T. I have good coverage here with AT&T, but I would switch to Verizon if I lived or worked where they provided better coverage.
