not sure how much i spend now since i quit my job, and now carpool with a new job thats only 3 miles away, and sometimes i drive, but the person i carpool is right next to me and he wants to drive all of the time, and wont accept money from me. thats a plus!

but when i was working before. my cavalier with a 5 speed would take 52 mpg if drive easy on highway only, would go 400 miles on a bit more than half a tank less than 3/4 of a tank. (no lies, wish i had proof) cant remember how much i spend, but not much. and i work 92 miles one way.

after i sold the car, i started driving a lifted 1980 gmc. it would cost me 100 dollars a DAY so my lady let me use her saturn for work. used that til i quit the job. got tired of driving 180+ mile a day, 10 hours shift, arriving home at 2 am. then i got a 2003 silverado, pretty decent on gas, BT 40 dollars a week cause its all local miles.

cavalier 4 cyl 52 mpg highway
    80 gmc v8 6 mpg highway
03 silverado v8 16 mpg local 21 mpg highway, am gaining more mpg by mods.
04 explorer v6 17mpg local 25 mpg highway (went to nc and reg as 25 mpg

I spend about 80-100. My commute is 50 miles round trip.....5 days a week, and I drive a Chevy Trailblazer.....However that also includes driving on my days off as well........I did the math, work costs me about 10 bucks round trip everyday

I was spending about $95.00 every 4 days to fill up my Yukon, my husband was spending about $150.00 a week to fill up his Dodge diesel. We both drive about 82 miles round trip a day and work opposite shifts. We ended up buying a 2009 Toyt Camry for commuter so we are down to about $58.00 every 5 days or so.

I have the new Toyota RAV4 V6 and I gotta say with its 60L tank, I can do just over 500km on the highway and about 400 in the city depending how hard I push it. Last Friday I pulled up to a Canadian Tire Gas Station with 128.8 price, this was last Friday not yesterday, when prices were still 135 ish everywhere else. I got to the pump and was informed that they ran out of regular gas and they only had premium and they were selling it at the 128.8 price. I tanked about 55L if not more, and I have been driving back and forth to work all week and other places in town and I just crossed the half tank point yesterday. Really impressed on how the RAV4 does with Premium Gas, extremely efficient. With Regular gas I will spend about $80 a week, but with this Premium its possible to drive over a week; yeah it does cost more but it's also cleaner and much better on your engine.

Hate to rub it in.. but gas is around a $1.50 a gallon here. Costs me like $40 to fill up my range rover. When I went home for a week to canada the gas prices were like a kick in the face.

I drive a Ford Explorer Sport. I get like 20+ mpg .. When I do fill up it's around $60 or so. Thank God I'm up at school and we have the buses as transportation or I would be filling up all the time! I usually fill up about once a month, or at least I'm trying!! Don't know what I'm going to do when I actually have to drive to work all the time! But the drive home from college is what kills. 12 hours, about 2 1/2-3 tanks of gas ..

I know it's all a matter of choice, but I am dropping around $200 /wk & I am driving a 4cyl. I was at $225 /wk & THAT is why I don't drive a Hemi 1500 anymore. I laugh to think that I sold that truck when gas was only $3.50/gal. (Only $3.50?!?!) Well I hope that helps you feel better, Creed.

    I drive a Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a 6L V8, averages around 13mpg.

My actual cost to commute to work: $0.00.

My office is in my home. When I have to travel anywhere for business, my company picks up the tab at the IRS-determined rate of $0.585 per mile.

PS. Yes, I know I suck

V8 F150 bout $150 normal drive is about 40 miles round trip daily, but I have to make a 70 mile round trip downtown about 3 times a week.

Saving grace is I get to drive the "company car" home twice a week on my car share's days off.

Saw a couple of very large guys on some Vespa scooters the other day. Looks like I change my opinion on scooters and join the new trend.

    I still cracked up!
