I have ttwo 8320's. I bought one from a friend for 200.00 and I had it for a month or so when it all of a sudden started having network issue (calls would not always come through, or go out) the internet and data was fine, but I don't know why my calls were acting up so much. I work for tier three data support for t-mobile, and I couldnt figure it out! I've called people in PDA, TSG, and so on and so forth. I wish there were a way i could fix it. Then I'd have two that were working. Anywho, I got a brand new one for about $400.00 incl tax, It works perfect and I love it. But now I have this other one that just sits in the box and makes me sad for it. You know, it's like they have little personalities. Lol.
got mine for free and a 266.67 Gift Certificate that I can use for either a monthly fee credit or just plain old use it on a prestigious department store - i mean this is a brand new 8320 curve I am referring to...
When i got my pearl, it was an accident. Lets call it a happy accident. Before getting the pearl, I had a sk ID and i only had it for a few months. By that time , i already went through 2 sidekicks III..so when my last sk broke (they're so damn delicate~ and yes i broke all three sks in less than seven months), i went in to ask for a new one only they told me it would cost me 300 bucks since i was already a tmo client. I cried. I refused to buy a new device that cost more than my own phone. So i asked the salesman if i could purchase a different device w data for a lesser price. He told me the only phones with data are the BBs and SKS...and they cost about the same ...but if i renew my contract, it will be cheaper. I didn't think this was fair so i began arguing with the salesman. Finally he got fed up and walked out of the store...five mins later he came back and asked me which bb device i wanted. I didn't even know which one i wanted and just randomly said, "the pearl" without thinking or espe thinking what he was going to do next. Then he said he'll sell it for me for 115 and had to keep the data plans and texts and all ...i told him i would def do that. 11 months later, i still have it and it is still in one piece. Now i wonder hwat he would have said had i said i wanted the Curve...
Trevor- I don't know if you know- they decide not to tell people this, but you can get unlimited data and e-mail for Verizon for $29.99. For $5 more- you can play all you want!!
I paid I think $360 for my BB Curve, and my plan is $29.99 a month, but is being upgraded to the $39.99 a month myfaves plan, plus $14.99 for unlimited messaging. I am also fighting the temptation to add the internet plan for $20. This baby is worth every penny!
Wow, I feel real special... My Blackberry Pearl was -$50. Yeah, you read that right. After discounts and rebates they paid me $50. I kept whining because I was afraid to switch from Verizon to Tmobile, etc... It took about two hours of talking witht the manager of the kiosk but thats the deal I got. Granted it's the older 8100 version of the pearl but, I couldn't refuse that price... MyFaves 300 plan $40 + unlim text $15 + ulim data $20 = $75/mo (about $80 after tax). I'm not sure if I'll keep the data after I quit this job though. Currently I work security and I often end up sitting alone somewhere so to not be bored I cruise the web. Thats the whole reason I switched from Verizon. Before I had an EnV and unlimited data... Well, because Verizon are a**holes they charge for data + VOICE for the internet... So, little did I know, I ended up almost 400 minutes over! Verizon was such a rip off...
