It's very expensive addiction. I know I've spent way more than I should have, but this is what I enjoy. My wife likes shoes, I like Blackberry's.

Shoes and blackberries. That has to be a budget killer.

I am on a family share plan so my bb voice costs me $10/month and I pay 24.00 for the 10mb plan on Verizon. So $35+tax and ripoff fees/month. It's so worth it.

Well I would say I'm paying way over the odd's for mine. Got my 8800 for free on t mobile uk. Costs me 45 p/m with the full email and unlimited data. Let's face it I don't need my 8800 but now I've got it I could'nt live without it. No point having a crackberry and not using it for what it's made for.

Whatever the cost is, it's so worth it! Some people may consider it an expensive habit but there are so many other things that people are addicted to that cost way more than the upkeep of a BlackBerry. And besides, when you love or enjoy something as much as we all do with our BlackBerry's, price does not even enter the equation. For when you love something, the joy and pleasure you get out of it is so worth whatever the price may be.

BB 8830=$149 (Sprint gave me a $399 credit for returning my BB 7250)
Voice plan = $99 per month
    Data = $39.99 Unlimited

Worth every penny to be able to do business anywhere I go. I have a friend who is constantly asking to use my Berry. I used to with my 7250, but since I got my 8830, I said to him, "Dude, get your own BB, you're not touching this one!!!"

I agree wth your comment SammyB that no one touches my BlackBerry.

It's worth whatever the cost is. There should be a commercial for BlackBerry like the Visa Master Card commercial. You know the one where they say doing this or doing that and then they give a price and at the end they say having a Master card priceless but instead they should say owning a BlackBerry priceless. lol

Have to agree with you totally. Can't put a price on the joy it gives.
And like you said, some people might say it's too expensive but spend it on something else.
Mine will be €22,50 for voice and €20 or €40 for data. (haven't decided which plan to take yet)

monthly bill = $200 includes unlimited everything - he has 1400 voice minutes, I have 500.

Would love to switch to TMobile, our bill would drop about $60 each month, but I haven't heard great things about their reception in our area.

TMO seems to be one of those companies where it works perfect in your area or you don't bother with it. If you live in a big city and they offer service, that is great it is cheap. Otherwise, you're screwed.

I would sure like to find out how you all get your BBs for free, cuz I can't afford to keep buyin em.

8100- 399 (bought it the day it came out)
    7100t - 80
8700g - 300 (bought it the day it came out as well...oi)

I'm on a family plan with T-mo so its 69.99 for the plan, the 20 bucks for my data and 20 bucks for my brothers data plan (he's using the 7100t) and then 10 bucks for messaging for me and my bro..all in all its about 150 a month.

I cash in my upgrade with Tmobile every year. They continue to strap me into additional years of service, but it helps with the new BlackBerry i buy for either me or my wife each year. If TMobile comes through with the Wi-Fi 8820, i am going to have to skip the upgrade and choke up full price to get my hands on one. Until then my 8700g will keep me happy.
