Well...I got my Curve for $300 with a $50 mail-in-rebate but I had to renew my contract which I didn't care because I always wanted a Blackberry and was determined to get rid of the Tmobile Wing (terrible phone).
It was $75 w/ free 2-day shipping.. and then I got a $100 rebate. So it ended up being -$25.
This is all with signing a 2-year contract.
that's the deal i got for my curve!
it helps ease the sting of the montly fees that come to about $120 after they add on those taxes and stuff to my data and texting.

I'm at about $80/mo. including tax.. TMO!
I almost went to ATT till I saw how much my monthly it was going to be.. and I find more use of the WiFi than the GPS so it worked out for me.
I just got my wife and mines' from Costco a couple days ago - $99 each ($50 mail in rebate brings them down to $49.99), plus rebate forms for the $35 TMO activation fees for each line. This was about $440 cheaper than going through the T-Mobile store across the street from Costco!
My buddy traded me his like new curve for my samsung ace. He just wanted me to add $50 to the trade. I didn't mind because I wanted to try a blackberry out. I'm glad I did! Love it!
I spent 300 at sign on with the 2 year contract a week later my charging port busted and i spent another 100 to get the phone replaced through my insurance. So 400 for that not counting all the accessories i currently own which is about another 200. Really if my phone lasts my entire contract unlike most of the phones ive owned Im ok with paying that much for a phone. It also keeps me busy between my classes. Im currently waiting on my 100$ refund that was just recently processed. Cant wait to get it
I paid $549 plus tax for mine with no money from the company. I did the no contract back in Feb. I also had to pay a 25 activation fee to switch the handset over to the new phone. I pay around 52.00 a month for service, unlimited web, email, im, 250 day min unlimited n&weekends starting at 6pm. 250 text and mobile to mobile. So the answer is yes it's worth it and I would/will do it again hopefully when the thunder comes out!!
