With AT&T following the lead of other countries and all of the flak about this (most notably from the guy named after a Honda), I was wondering, how much data do you usually use each month?

As far as where to find how much data you used , I checked my bill online and its broken down into killobytes. I'm not sure on the math as to how many killobytes are in a megabyte. I think its 1024 but don't quote me on that.

My latest numbers show a peak of just over 80megs a month. Most of my usage is WiFi. The new plans look good to me so far.

I looked at my average and its been about 300MB for several months. This month, with 20 some odd days left in my billing cycle, I'm at 1.1GB! Probably from PodTrapper.
Needless to say, IF I stay with AT&T I'll be keeping my 5GB softcap. But the EVO and Sprint are starting to look better everyday

I went the look-on-the-web route and did a report of my last 8 months usage. I am almost ashamed to say that most months I'm under 5mb and my peak month was only 27mb. I'm thinking I'm about to start saving $15 per month with the 200mb plan. My only hesitation is I'm grandfathered in to unlimited. What happens in a year when some hot new data intensive device comes out and I find myself longing for the good ol days when I had unlimited? I realize we can't see the future, but that would honk......

Mines at 75 megs a month . Wifi here also. From June 6th- July 5th, I'll be using my service only... No wifi, to see how much I actually use...

iirc the grandfathered unlimited plans cannot be put on new contracts.

Download the free version of minute tracker from the app world. It shows u everything uve used on ur plan so far whenever u refresh the data (data is updated every 4 hours but needs to be manually refreshed). I've been using it since I got my berry and no problems at all. It works like a charm!

I thought I was under 200mb until I did a report through At&t and it clearly showed I was hitting at least 230mb. The At&t report was great BTW. I think I'm going to keep my unlimited for now.
