Same here, nothing is closer or beats a straight shave with a blade...
im half asian and i can go 3 days before i can grow a 5 o'clock shadow! but i like my fusion although i dont have/need the vibrating one.
Having tried everything out there I can honestly say that nothing gives me a
closer shave than my DOVO straight razor.
I want to learn how to use a straight razor, but I'm nervous to try one out.
You really are as old as I thought you were :D:p
I'm not admitting anything but will say that I was at Moses' 3rd birthday party. :p
Seriously though. You really have to use one and you will understand.
For day to day I use a Wahl shaver with a super close foil. When I'm in the shower, it's a blade. Works well for me.

I use the Norelco Arcitec.
If you really hate shaving just grow a beard.
It's razors for me most of the time, Mach 3's work pretty good.
I can use electrics, but anything with screens seem to just get holes in them and they bite my face too much. The slotted shavers work pretty good, but more often than not miss any hairs that like to lay flat, forcing me to use a bladed razor to clean up. So unless I have few pimples, I just use a blade.
If I could grow a bread like that, I would!!
I use a beard trimmer without the guard. Only reason is because there's less irritation with the trimmer as opposed to a razor, which means I see fewer breakouts. I do use a razor for my legs, man parts, and armpits, though. Clean and smooth.

I dunno.
Make a mistake with an electric, nothing happens.
Make a mistake with a razor, a little bit a blood.
Make a mistake with a straight razor, call 911 before you pass out from blood loss.
It doesn't matter what I use, I get bumps and red, irritated skin.
Being lazy, I use an electric. No set up, just turn it on.
P.S. My Braun is jailbroken.
Dude... TMI TMI
Are you running a hybrid OS on that bad boy?
Has anyone tried this multi-blader?

Us women don't enjoy shaving either, but you gotta do what cha gotta do.
+1 for Jens comment about the Coochy Cream.
Try this ..Hommage, the Parisian purveyor of luxury grooming equipment, skincare and spa services for men, has created a limited edition, platinum-sheathed straight razor using the same ancient layering techniques as the Crusaders' swords, for $30,000. Called the Damascene Razor, the blade is hand-forged in Germany with 128 layers of legendary Damascene steel, with a rose and torsion pattern. The sheath is plated in pure platinum, treated to resist tarnishing. .... You might want to get 2 just in case !
You know what they say about straight razors? ......

razor for the man parts, that requires like 100000000000000x precision, otherwise -> peeling potatoes =[
electric shavers, quicker/cleaner , but obviously the cheap ones suck if you are going for a full shave
I think since we're talking about it I should mention this. For years I've been
shaving AFTER I've showered. My pores (sp?) are nice and open right after a
shower so my face and head are just nice and ripe for a very comfty and close
shave. When I first started shaving I'd shave before a shower until someone told
me about showering and then shaving. BIG, BIG DIFFERENCE.
A little patience and a lot of practice makes the task easier.
I agree, I did the same thing for years. Shaving after a shower is a huge difference. I use a scrub on my face to exfoliate and that will soften the toughest of beards...
Well if you are gonna shave then you'll need this...

The whole open pore thing I disagree with. Just like with washing my hands I always
start with cold water. (Any EMT, Paramedic, Nurse or Doctor will tell you this is a
sound practice)
The reason is if the pores are open it is easier for bacteria and other stuff to get into
your skin. Think about a microscopic hair, bacteria, or blood borne pathogens.
I always shave by first using a cold cloth to the face and I get great results.
