    Hello,

I will be spending New Year's Eve in New York City, however the hotel we will be staying in is the Ramada International Limited in New Jersey City. I looked it up on Google Map, and it would take around 24 minutes (public transportation).

My question is, how much does it cost if we are to take public transportation? And approximately by Taxi?

65 Tonnelle Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 (Ramada Jersey City) <- That's the hotel we're staying in.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Happy Holidays!

I don't know about New York, but Seattle has some website where you can get estimated taxi fares. see if you can find a site like that.
I'd google it for you but I'm on mobile.

You can take the PATH from Journal Square near your Hotel to 33rd Street in Manhattan. Then walk to see the ball drop.

Take Path it's only about a dollar or 2!

EDIT: Probably quicker too as you would not be hindered by the tunnel.

I don't know how accurate this is but here's the cost for a taxi.

Cost by taxi: International Taxi Fare Calculator - World Taximeter

    Distance: 9.28 km. | Duration: 18 min.

    jump in the taxi: $2.509.28
    km. x $1.24 per km: $11.54
waiting in traffic (~7 min.): $2.81
    Customary tip (15%):$2.53
New York State Tax Surcharge: $0.50
    Total: $19.39
