- Not sure if a thread like this has been started before, but what is your take on God/ religion? All religious and non-religious beliefs encouraged. Doesn't matter if you're Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, atheist, agnostic, or anything else. And I can't stress this enough, but let's keep it simple and civil toward one another.
As for me? I devoted my like to Christ 6 years ago, during my freshman year of college. Becoming a Christian has definitely been the most important and life changing decision I've ever made. I attend an amazing church here in Brandon, Florida, and have made some awesome friends as a result. I've always had a stong belief that God exists, but never made a conscious decision to follow Him until 6 years ago. Part of the reason I started this thread is because I am a Religious Studies major at the University of South Florida, and I've always been interested in what others believe outside of my own faith. I'm not here to convert or preach, just interested in what Crackberry members have to say on the subject. I have really close friends who are Muslim, agnostic, and Hindu. I'm very pro tolerance of other beliefs. So, what about you?04-08-08 01:06 AMLike 0 - mmmm i am a muslim, i was born one and still am i say i am a pretty strong muslim i dont drink or do drugs. i try to pray 5 times a day but its really hard to since i work or go to school every day and the times are really conflicting with my schedule but i atleast get 3x in a day. somedays ill get 5 hopefully. - My bet is that they have the same thing to "say about the subject" as non-crackberry people, straight people, gay people, White people, people of color, etc.
Not sure the point of your post. As large a community as this is, there is undoubtably a representative or two of each species.
A post such as this (or one about politics) probably bests belongs on a site dedicated to those topics, as this is not the topic of the forum, and will do nothing but create separation where togetherness currently exists.
Might I suggest you conduct your "research" elsewhere so as to avoid creating trouble in a currently comfy community?
Just my two-cents.04-08-08 10:22 AMLike 0 - I've seen religion based threads on other Forums turn nasty.
Some people don't like discussion religion or politics.
Tht being said, I am born Hindu. Went to a Presbyterian primary school and then to an all girls Muslim secondary school. So I guess I've been exposed to and know a bit abt those religions.
Beacuse of how my country is made up of so many different people with varied cultures etc we here have always been exposed to most major religions and their festivities. But there are always those who choose to live without recognising others beliefs to. But I've learnt a long time ago that the world is made up of all kinds of people, good and bad blah blah blah.

Just my two-cents.04-08-08 02:31 PMLike 0 - I agree with your statement. That being said, I was raised Catholic...went to Catholic school for 12 years. Went to church all the time as a kid...not so much as an adult. I feel that I don't have to be in "church" to pray. However, I do feel good when I do go and I do believe.
