Well I guess the rules involve leaving a comment, or as many comments as you want... I wrote a short story instead. Each comment was a separate chapter, enjoy!!!



A Boy and His Pet Giraffe

Chp 1.

Most children growing up yearn for a cuddly pet, and will stop at nothing to make their parents acquiesce. Little Frankie Gilman was no different in his methods, but his desire was a bit off. Were most children of his age want a puppy or kitty, Frankie wanted something big. Something so tall, that he could stand on its head and touch the sky. Something so epic, and grand that everyone on his street would be jealous of him for years to come. It became clear to Frankie that the only thing that would satisfy his wants and needs would be Giraffe.

Chapter 2.

For two weeks Frankie hounded his parents to buy him the answer to his dreams, and prayers. He left sticky notes all throughout the house, on the fridge, on the stove (which lead to many mini-fires), he even left notes on his parents foreheads. Until one day, his Parents decided that they had enough.

Chp 3.

Frankie's parents grew tired, and weary of all the temper tantrums thrown, and the mini-fires from post-it(tm) notes in the kitchen, that they decided to help ease Frankie's desire of owning a Giraffe as a pet. They decided the only way to dissuade Frankie from his desire of owning a massive Giraffe was to show him a real live animal in person... at the zoo.

Chp. 4

It was a beautiful Saturday as Frankie and his parents embarked on their journey to the local city zoo. Frankie was bursting with excitement and energy as he was of the mind that any Giraffe he saw today would instantly be coming home with him and his family. Boy was he wrong! As the family toured the layout of the zoo, Frankie become agitated by the minute as they stopped to look at monkeys, zebras, elephants, and koala bears. He didn't care about any of those animals! He looked at his map, and saw that the only exhibt left before his precious Giraffe was that of the lions. YAY!

Chp 5.

One more exhibit to get through, and Frankie would be free to take him his new pet Giraffe! Or so he thought... As he and his parents approached the railing of the lion habitat, they saw taht the lions were just about to be fed. Frankie stood on his tippy-toes to view the carange that was about to take place, when an really large woman barged her way to the front, and knocked Frankie into the habitat.

He fell right in front of the lion's meal and broke both of his legs. The lions attacked from all sides, and Frankie barely struggled. His parents won out a giant settlement with the Zoo, and became so rich that they could in fact buy a Giraffe! ****, the could by 50 if they really wanted to.

Frankie was buried four days after the incident, and it was a really beautiful service.
