I know most of you aren't Catholic, but if you had to, could you give up your blackbery for lent? For a replacement, you'd just get some cheap little flip.
My mom suggested I give mine up. I asked her "Did you bump your head?!" and gave her the stink eye.

I would not even need Lent to do it. My answer is yes I could easily give up
the BlackBerry in a heartbeat and forever.

Truth to tell I just about have.

I am Catholic, and it is a good thing I did not give up my BlackBerry for Lent.

I do not have another mobile device. I receive SMS alerts from my college if there are any cancellations or emergencies. I would have wasted a trip to school today if not for the SMS alert I got on my BlackBerry. The power was out at my campus, and classes were canceled today.

I could, but it would be cruel and unusual punishment! Instead I gave up eating out-not even take out or delivery! No bb-that would make for a VERY long 40 days!

I'm sure I could. I used to be absolutely attached to my phone when I used facebook. I deleted my fb a month ago and am no longer so 'attached" to my phone. Sure, I would miss my blackberry as it is my only means of staying connected to people. However. I'm sure I could do itm

Nah, I don't think so. I did give up choclate for Lent though. Much easier to not have choclate for 40 plus days than my berry.
