I drive a ford focus but I hate it. Lots of little things wrong with it but its an economy car.
My roommate drives a 2005 F250 quad cab turbodiesel and that things nice. Only complaint is the suspension, much rougher ride than I expected.

no one wants to see my baby..... 99 ranger ext cab, 4/5 drop kit, sitting on JACK STANDS in my garage!!! nov 2007 the freaking syncro gear stripped and lost oil pressure...... wish ford would get it together and help this common problem. earlier this year my next door neighbors f150 did the same thing.

We just got rid of the '88. That thing was a beast! Sat for 8 months (October to May) without a single start-up, went to move it and it started up on the first crank!
I love the looks of a mid/late 80's Ford! if I could get a 88 F150 I'd want to drop a modern Engine in it, but they just look like Muscle!
The engine in that truck now runs fine. It doesn't need anything modern added to it, except maybe a turbo; it's 7.3L Non-Turbo Diesel. It really is a reliable vehicle if it is that old, can sit for that long and start up without a jump or anything.

Mine wouldn't sit for that long, I'd drop the modern Engine in for the fuel efficiency and power, I run lots of gadgets and would need a better altinator then the mid 80's truck would afford me.
Just like I would LOVE to get my hands on a 1958 Corvette Body, but don't care about the Engine because I'd want to put a LS1 Engine with a 6 speed into it, I Just like the looks, I want todays tech!

Lol. I didn't like that it sat for that long. I loved that truck. It ended up sitting though because it needed some work done to pass inspection. A friend of ours who owned an automotive shop was suppose to be doing the repairs on it, but didn't touch it at all. We tried selling it, but couldn't get a bite because it needed work. Finally another friend of ours asked about buying it, we told him everything it needed, he said that was fine, and we ended up giving him a deal on it.
