On all these boards people are name calling, bashing, ready to say how stupid others are for having opinions etc. etc. If someone posts a provocative topic and you disagree, either contribute an opinion ON THE TOPIC - NOT THE POSTER or simply ignore the post.

Before you get on your high horse and try to slap someone down consider that you are on a message board chatting about phones. Give the abusive talk a rest already.

Some guy actually accused me of beating my wife when I was defending a poster from being Flamed by the masses. He put lots of LOL in his post to try to make it okay. I would normally ignore it but it's been happening so often on these boards it makes me want to stop coming to the boards altogether.

I say every time someone get's abusive, fight back and report Abuse with the little icon on the top right of the post - whether it was directed at you or to anyone else.

Ah the phone that boils down the whole experience down to a new web browser. Sounds simplistic but maybe it is a good idea, what do I know.

Off-off topic of the post, I'm surprised there aren't more companies trying to do this for the entire PC desktop experience. You sign in to any browser and you're at your work space hosted completely online. You add on apps a la carte for a small monthly fee for each app. I know there are some trying to experiment with being 100% in the cloud but for the most part it hasn't caught on yet.

Would it be better to rent a virtual image with 7 other people sharing the machine like they do for virtual servers (GoGrid.com) ? Or would it be more of a shared drive space scheme where all the apps are 'hosted' across several servers like some web hosts (Mosso.com) ?

Could I run WoW in that kind of environment? Cause that's a deal breaker.

I hereby call on the Crackberry Forum Gods to grant me a filter to hide ALL POSTS FROM ANYONE UNDER 30 YEARS OLD.

I'm tired of filtering through immature malarkey.
If I read: "Your stupid. You Suck. Go away." one more time, I think I may shoot myself.

OR how about a filter for grammar?
Anyone else tired of people that don't know the difference between Your and You're? or They're, Their and There?

And I don't mean the non English speaking fellow who is struggling with the language. I give that chap some credit and some slack. I am talking about filtering out any post with poor grammar from those that learned how to write by using SMS or chat and couldn't write an actual letter if their life depended on it.

Or filter on anyone that calls someone a **** or a ****** simply because they don't agree with them. Here's a hint: It's not okay to call someone stupid and it's not okay to slander a whole group of people that have special needs. I hope no one in your family ever has to deal with that. (Was that Flander'esque enough?)

But then these filters would be redundant. Any one of them would work for me.

If Crackberry doesn't give us these much needed tools, maybe I'll create one and all of us 'Cry Babies' can install an add-on in Firefox that allows us to 'Flag' the Flamers and ignore them.

That's not such a bad idea?
Instead of a Digg score, for a site you'd get a Flamer Score as an ignorant poster.

I truly believe it's a win-win. Those with weak constitutions could filter out such users and the Flamers could wear their Flaming Score as a badge of honor.

Hmmm. Off to check for possible domain names... Oh but first I must spell check this post!
