I thought leukonychia was a kind of nail disease, not bugger eating. But what do I know.
It COULD be nail disease or fungral in nature, or just nail trauma

Growing up my mom would tell me those white lines in my nails were lies.

When they'd be all clear I'd show them off and be proud at the fact that I was "lie free".

Recently I found out that those little white "dash-like" marks on nails are from a calcium deficit in your body...

    Or something calcium related.

Calcium deficiency? I always get them when I bash my finger against something. I don't think slamming your finger in a door is a calcium deficiency is it?

No, slamming your finger in a door is not a calcium deficiency. It is a brain deficiency. :D
