Good Luck fellow Yankee fan. I dealt with breast cancer in the family for two years, the full deal (radiation, chemo, mastectomy, baldness, etc.)

When are you going to have the surgery?
I'm going on the 11th to consult with the Dr. that would do the removal, I already consulted with the Dr. that would do the radiation implant should I choose to go that route. One day I want to do one thing and the next day I want to do the other. Lots of pros and cons on both sides to consider. But after that consultation I will make up my mind. I can't keep procrastinating.

Another new obstacle that I need to take into consideration now is which one will be my quickest recovery. 2 months that want a concern. My job knew of my issues and were willing to work with me should I needed to go on light duty...etc. But I'm not there anymore and in between jobs.

Just left the doctors for consultation and I now have an appt set for March 22nd to have my prostate removed.

And we're everywhere, lol
I fifth that komments sea eh?
It's been several weeks since I last posted. And the day has finally arrived for my procedure. Tomorrow. Lots of thinking, lots of questions and advice". The title of my thread is a bit deceiving, maybe I should have titled it "fighting cancer ", as I'm not living with it, but rather getting rid of it. What I'm going through can in no way compare with what others here, in the cancer group or any other place go through as they go through cancer treatment, years of radiation, chemo....etc. I guess I'm "lucky" that where my cancer is I can just remove that whole damn organ and continue with life.

Good luck bruh, we're keeping you in our prayers.
Just caught this thread. I second the above thought and add the wish for a speedy recovery.
Thank you. Well, the 4 hour procedure went well. (so they say). Instead of the doctor doing the work it was a robot...I'm not joking. God knows how much the insurance will get billed for that!!!....lkts of pain right now and unable to move, but I'm suppose to walk today and finally have food after 2 days! ....but the best part about all this is.....I'M CANCER FREE!!

I'm glad I was able to share my journey with you all. I consider myself lucky to have had it in an area where I could just remove the organ and be done with. I admire those of you who go through your chemo and radiation . Even my wife that has lupus I admire for her fortitude and will to fight on. Thank you all for your support, and words of encouragement. CB has been a great outlet for not just rants about BlackBerry but also for personal issues. You guys rock!!
