    Hey guys,
I wanted to post this for anyone else that gets that funny feeling every four years around World Cup time. I simply cant get enough, and with my Blackberry Z10 I want to be ready for all the action. Here's a couple neat things Im using my phone for to enjoy the tournament. Please add your ideas and enjoy!

    Subscribed Calendar -
In the Calendar app, swipe down from the top to open the settings, select Meeting Invitation Settings, and Account Settings in the bottom centre. Select Add Account, Subscribed Calendar and enter the following information.

Calendar Name - FIFA World Cup 2014 Match Schedule (or whatever you like)
    Server Address - http://www.worldcupbrazilcalendar.com/all.ics

Now hit done and head back to the main calendar screen. You'll all the matches with teams, game time in your time zone and even the match location. Even later Round matches will update as teams advance. Amazing use of the subscribed calendar feature! (You can also access this setup directly from the Hub Settings and selecting Add Account in the bottom centre.

    Browser Shortcut Option -

If you prefer more of a dedicated App feel, head over to FIFA.com - The matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil? in the Browser and from the extended menu select Add to Home Screen. This will place an icon, and actually quite a nice looking icon anywhere you choose that will take you directly to the fifa.com match schedule web site.

    Live Streaming (Canada Only) -

I'm sure there are several other options for streaming live matches outside of Canada, but after some research, it seems that only cbc.ca/sports will be streaming live matches in HD. I've tested this with Hockey Night in Canada and it works quite well. If its anything like previous years, it might take a day or two to get their servers ready for all the extra traffic but this is definitely my method of choice for streaming the matches. Last tournament I was able to purchase a package from TSN for $19.99 which was well worth it but with CBC holding the broadcast rights, things may be a bit different.

Ill be attempting to run simultaneous matches in one office this time around. Im interested in see how the Playbook would handle this. Anyways, I was excited to post this and I hope you soccer crazy Crackberrians enjoy! Please post any idea, apps or comments you may have and enjoy the beautiful game!

I'm pretty sure I saw something about ESPN steaming it as well but I didn't look too hard as we can't access it here. There will be options that's for sure.

Hey one of my friends is having issues setting this up, but I can't figure out what he is doing wrong. I told him no spaces within, before, or after the server address link but he is still getting the error in the pic below

EDIT: He got it. he left off the 's' at the end of .ics. It was my fault I copied it to him without the S

I deleted my calendar and was able to re-add it by following the steps I provided. I would suggest trying it again. It worked fine for me the second time around however it took about 2 minutes to activate and first took me to a second screen where it asked me to configure the settings, to which I just hit save.

Here's another calendar link I found, I haven't tested it but any subscribed calendar should work using the steps in the first post.

Wow.. thanks OP. This is what I need for that tournament, integrated to Hub and should be on lock screen too. Just realized the Calendar could do this.

    Same as what I got.

Everybody claimed to get this working can post screenshots of the setting page that worked? Posting us the calendar that is working isn't helping those of us failing.

PS: I'm in Toronto Canada so this should work for me.

Sorry my battery just gave out but before it did I checked the settings and deleted and re-added the calendar and its worked fine, altough it took a few minutes longer to load. Try again in a little bit and see if it works, it could be a server thing. Alternatively try this link, should work as well although I havent tested it.

UPDATE: I havent been able to get this second link to work but the first one definitely works, as other members mentioned, give it a few tries

I got the same thing to but nothing shows up in the calendar. I went back and saved it like 5 times and nothing. Will reset the phone and see what happens.

Or you can download football challenge app from BlackBerry World and then set the match in app. As such works. And it's also according to my timezone.
    As such
