Cancel the outstanding invites (from last year, that have not signed up yet) and expand the slots again, we can always contract once the league actually gets ready to start. Lets get everyone in that wants in!

Ok, it's been FOREVER since I've had a Yahoo team (all mine are ESPN now) so where the heck does it say WHEN the Draft is? And may I say 1 point for every 10 yards...better draft a darn good QB and some quality WR. Looks like this league is all about the passing game lol.

You act surprised. 1 pt for every 10 yards is a default for almost every league. I usually participate in 4 per season and they all use the same scoring for the most part; even my live local league. You need a decent back for your team as well.
the draft should be set once we get the required number of teams filled (in our league's case 20) we had so many people wanting in we expanded from 12 to 16 now to 20. i've already drafted in my other yahoo league. it's a weird league...start 2 QBs, 2 WRs, 2 RBs, 2 TEs, 2Alts, 2 K's & 2 DEFs....strange.

As for the other, yeah a decent back but you figure most backs don't average more than 4-5 yards per carry and at 25 carries per game that averages a 125 yards per game. The bottom QB averages over 200 passing yards per game. That's 20 points versus 12...yeah I think a QB is more important.

Wow, you're right! That's a strange configuration! HAHA I don't think I've ever had to start 2 QBs and 2 TEs a week. weird

Unless you nab Peyton, Brees or Aaron Rodgers, the rest of the next tier of QBs can easily average UNDER 200 yards a game on a bad day.
I only mentioned needing a good RB because of the short but sometimes multiple runs at the goal line; especially for a workhorse. Can't tell you how many times I added +6, +6, +6 for a back who had TD runs of 1, 3, and 7 yards. I still love old-fashioned power football. Too bad more teams don't play it these days.....
the auto draft gave me 3 K's, 3 TEs and 3 DEFs so i was able to cut one each and pick up some decent RBs & WRs.
Yeah, i really dislike autopick drafts because its all a crap shoot. You were lucky you could dump a few and pick up what you needed. Of course, by then, the backup QB, WR, RB you could use were gone. That's why I like to be able to draft for my needs.

This is true...I miss Bettis on my Steelers for that sole reason. Boy was always good for a 1 or 3 yard TD.
I see we are currently at 18 people in the league. Two more spots left. Can't say I have ever played in a league this big. It will be interesting. I'm headed back to the drawing board as my draft strategy needs to change.
FYI: We do have a BBM group for the league. Even if you aren't in the league you are welcome to join and talk football (or any sport).
The QB position is gonna be interesting, that's for sure! Not everyone is gonna get a starter as a backup. So bye week is gonna be fun, and GOD forbid you get an injury, of course that puts someone ELSE in a starters role.
