This place has become so full of drama in certain threads. I don't even bother anymore with the exception of my screen shots and some of the off-topic lounges.

My daily life is enough to make me ill. Don't need online "friends" doing the same.
Present company excluded, of course! You guys are REAL friends!!!!
Are you telling me there are threads out there other than those in rehab/Off Topic? who knew.

Thanks Underway. I looked through the cods and did not find the medialoader cods. So I don't know what they call em now....
Look for both of these files. Delete them with BBSAK or BBMCP.

I forgot that those COD files are wiped after the wallpapers are loaded. You should be able to connect the 9930 to your computer (select USB drive) and find the wallpaper files on your device.

    ok gonna try!!!! thanks!

Nope, no luck. They don't appear. I guess because they are locked.
Guess I'm just gonna have to keep em. The funny thing is...I choose to shrink them out when I updated my OS so why are they still there? Dang!

I'll have to look when I get home. I know that I've been able to dump locked files from my phone. I'll PM tonight when I find it.

I installed BBMCP to use but I am hopelessly lost. I did find the wallpapers under system/samples/pictures...but I can't delete off my device. When I plug in and look at my device as a USB device, that directory doesn't show up of course.

So I'm not sure how to get there with a USB cable.

Anyone else reading this know how to dump those locked files from your device?
I can see them but I can't delete them. With BBMCP I don't know HOW to see them. Anyone use that program?

I'm still looking. I stumbled into the folder not long after I got my 9930, but I've not tried again until last night.

I haven't tryed but you should be able to do it with BBMCP. I will hook up mine and see if I can find where they are and report back in a few.

Cool, wish I could get one. I would go with the black myself. I'm not into white phones.

If you're using Windows 7, you have to turn off User Account Control (UAC) and reboot.

No white for me. My wife is the one who's looking at Z10. I'm sticking with my Bold for now.

I wish I could get one now. Thought I wanted white but I think the black looks sleeker.
Ah well, by Sept who knows, right?

I plugged into my phone and BBMCP. I found the right button to read all the cods on the phone. Again, the wallpapers must be called something else...like mediacrawler? preloaded mediacrawler?

Um, that's four phones for me. I used a 9630 for about 8 months. My 9650 was a free replacement for my third dead Tour.

The COD files are wiped after install. The backgrounds are loaded into the folder you found as protected media files.

My only issue with the Tour was the trackball. The phone was solid though.

I just gutted my remaining Tour. It became a donor for case and screen so that I could repair my spare 9650, recently crushed in the guts of a recliner. It fell from my daughter's pocket into my chair. I pushed the back of the chair and heard a crunch, like breaking plastic. To be sure, I did it again. Oops.
