Well folks, as an Alltel user I have to suffer the VERY late delay (if ever) of phones. For instance Alltel just now released the 9930. So I go into the Alltel store (3 differents ones) and find out the 9930 is going to be an online buy only. While I was in there I saw they had the 9850 for $9.99 with my upgrade. So needless to say I got one (2 actually. One for me and one for my wife).

I tried the 9850 for a week, and it was an awesome device. For me though, I just couldn't get used to the touch keyboard. Granted it was only a week, but I'm not very patient, lol. So then I went to the Torch 2. Best of both worlds...loved it and still do. Now I'm on the Bold, lol. I'm a crazy phone switching rambler
Regardless, each and every one of these phones is great...I know you will be happy with the 9850!

Hey Midd! I know your Torch works great because we chatted last night during the draft!
Good luck with the new phone!!!!
So I read in one of the other threads about new uses for old BBs.
Someone suggested using the 9650 as a music player. Think it would be worthwhile to do that? I could load it up and leave it at work (in my locked drawer) and when I want music, hook it to a little portable set of speakers on my desk. What do you think?
It might save wear on my battery...or isn't it a good idea?
And if I were to do this: when I turn on the 9650, do I need to wipe? delete bbm? leave the os and delete the apps? I have no wi_fi at work so I can't use the apps...
