Wish I had that option, but Verizon doesn't carry it.

I am really getting tired of waiting for this phone...may move on to a 9700.

THIS JUST IN! Venus is in Earth's sky tonight, and by the alignment of the two planets and the fact that the tide comes in on the mid-eastern seaboard at approx 1240am EST, this phone will be out at one point before the end of June.

Well you know it was not posted nearly enough times in any of the threads yesterday so someone had to post a few more times today just in case someone else did not read any of yesterdays posts in any other thread or on the front page of CrackBerry.com.

    May 27th for Verizon????

BlackBerry Bold 9650 hits the FCC, will probably be launched in Korea, too

"Officially announced by RIM exactly one week ago, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 has been approved by the FCC today (ID: L6ARCS70CW), so it’s one step closer to launch.

The 9650 will be available in the US via both Sprint (starting May 23, for $199 on contract) and Verizon (possibly starting May 27).

Also known as BlackBerry Tour 2, or BlackBerry Essex, the new Bold 9650 features GSM/HSDPA and CDMA/EV-DO connectivity, optical trackpad, 480 x 360 pixels display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3.2MP autofocus camera with Flash."

That was the date shown on the internal Verizon webpage that was screen captured, but that was BEFORE Sprint announced their May 23rd date. That just continues to prove that EVERYTHING about the release date for the 9650 is a guess until Verizon officially announces it.

And after they officially announce the release date, they could still delay it!

And so far, every guess has been wrong.

One more possibility, there is no 9650, never was. It's simply a ploy by R.I.M. and Crackberry to see how many posts they could inspire!

Personally, I'm thinking of re-activating my Motorola V9M and going back to a cell phone that's a cell phone.....

there's no rule that says Sprint can't have it first... vzw fanbois need to get off the crack and realise they don't always get devices first...

Its not a rule but i suspect both VZW and sprint pay into a fund to help development especially for the carrier specific OS and most likely to partner with RIM on generic advertising. Because of verizons larger customer base and sales volume they have the leverage to make sure it goes in the contract that they should be first to release.
