So, this may already have been posted.... But there is so much garbage posted so I didnt feel like looking back thru the messages.
A very close friend of mine works for Verizon. They go an email yesterday informing them that the Tour 2 launch would be delayed. It also stated the store would be recieving the test unit and dummy unit shortly. It instructed them to place both units into storage until further notice. They said a new launch date would be announced.... Not really good news, but they did refer to the phone as the Tour 2..... who knows at this point.

Exactly. But I've kicked myself many times before so it shouldn't be too bad . And maybe - and I know its highly unlikely - the new device will be released before the 30 day trial period is over.

Well the Nexus One is coming out for Verizon on 3/23. I said back in January that if the Nexus came out before the Tour 2, that I would be going with that. Sorry to say I am sticking to my guns... I'm tired of waiting, tired of checking this thread and tired of the pointless delays. Sorry rim, sorry tour 2.... hello Nexus One.
Cant say I blame you.. The Nexus one is pretty sweet. Although if its coming on the 23rd, I'd say you should wait till after the CTIA thats going on from the 23-25 and see what comes out there.

Hmmm, not sure why or how it could be compared to the Tour 2 then.
It's not necessarily a comparison, it's just a flashy device that most people on VZW are going to want because it's a touchscreen, runs android, and...yeah. People are still dazzled by the Iphone you know.
Yeah, same thing happened when the Droid came out for Verizon. Then they went to the BOGO offer which doesn't say much LOL
