I can tell you that this morning most of that grass was covered with leaves, in some places 6 or more inches deep
6 inches deep???
Holy cow! That's a lotta leaves! haha. Damn....I suppose if you pay someone to take them away you will have to actually MOVE AWAY from the trees.....
For travel enthusiasts. Join this group and start sharing experiences and photos of the places you've been to or want to go to... And maybe someday we can travel together.
Too bad you can't sell them for some use. Or turn them into gasoline for your car or truck. Lol. You'd be rich!!!!

A friend thinks that I should offer it as mulch but that means advertising and having a place to store the crap and then hope folks remain enthusiastic. And then even she expects me to do the shredding.
I have thought about advertizing on Craigslist or similar (oh my spellchecker does not seem to care if adverti-ing is with a s or z). But then that means total strangers hanging around my place and coming and going. Not thrilled by that prospect.
But while this is happening I'm also cleaning off the second floor of the house for new carpeting. All chests have to be emptied, file cabinets, closets......
As I noticed your "LIKE" in my profile I figured you had replied. Then I thought, just remember the old days, "teach" would have been as isolated as the kinder, no smart phone to carouse with friends, read the news, play words w/friends, compile their gift lists, whatever. You might have brought a book but none of this smartphone stuff. It is truly amazing.
After windstorm. Yes, the neat piles were created by this morning's wind. I reposted so you may compare and contrast and discuss amongst yourselves. (g)
Fortunately, no power outage like about 30,000 others. It would have wreaked havoc with my carrot cake!
Got lots more packed up and moved downstairs. Before she (who must be obeyed) left I asked it she could apply salve to my whip lashes!

"Nearly 150,000 people were in the dark from intense wind gusts.
Winds gusted well over 50 mph in many spots around the Puget Sound area, with Alki Beach recording a 61 mph gust, Sea-Tac Airport hit 59, Oak Harbor hit 55, and Everett hit 54 mph. Most other sites were well into the 40-49 mph wind gust range.
The 520 Bridge reported sustained winds of 44 mph gusting to 48 mph while those on the Edmonds-Kingston ferry run must have had quite the ride as wind gusts were reported between 46-53 mph as the ferry crossed Puget Sound Saturday morning......
Winds will die down as we progress through Saturday night, but colder air will move in behind the storm, making for our inaugural big mountain snow event of the season. Snow levels will drop to 3,000 feet Saturday night (along with still-blustery winds of 30-40 mph), then down to 2,500 feet Sunday meaning it'll even be snowing at Snoqualmie Pass. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect there for 6-11 inches of snow."
I may take some time off from packing and baking and raking and hike in the snow!
