Okay, so I am ignoring my own comments and Jaydee's advice. Heading out into the SNOW to hike. Reports on the trail I plan on hiking - about a foot of white stuff. Other trails already have 2-3 feet of the stuff.

Now a question on OS releases: I see some referred to as MR and can't decipher those initials. Manufacturer Release, Main release, moron release???

MR = maintenance release. Primarily bug fixes.

Did you see that Crystal Mountain opened (sort of) the other day? No lifts yet. Gotta hike your way up.

I don't know, but I've had a taste for Gumbo ever since I read Buford's post! Some good Gumbo would be great. Along with good old Texas style BBQ. But then, I've always had a soft spot for Texas and Texans ......except for the Cowboys! Never did like them or any other team in the NFC East.

I think we should all fly to Buford's house and have him fire up that grill in his man cave with some ribeye steaks and some gumbo!
Now I'm really hungry for something good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use to do that - at Stevens and actually use to climb into the Crystal backcountry. Now I'm old!

You can see Kansas ... just climb on a beer can at Buford's place in Texas and look north.

BTW, I know lots of folks FROM Kansas. I don't, however, know of anyone who moved TO Kansas without orders.
