For those who don't know :
So 26 years ago my brother was in an accident and got a detached retina from impact. They fixed it but he H's limited sight. Yesterday he got a detached retina in the good eye. Today I am taking the day off and driving he and my parents to the doc and possibly to Albany memorial for emergency surgery. My brother has no significant other so we are it.
Working my way into heaven I guess.

Best wishes. About a year ago my friend got a detached retina while out backcountry skiing. They use laser surgery, to reattach it successfully. Apparently 4,000 "spot welds" to "glue" it back on.
Heaven is a few rungs closer but it's a steep ladder!
Hey thanks for all your good wishes guys. Here's the scoop. The eye he has the retinal prob in is his good eye. The one he actually had surgery in before. That's the good eye. When they looked at the eye and ultrasound yesterday they saw a tear. Turns out they saw the buckle placed there from the first surgery. Soooooooo no tear. No surgery!! However he still has blurry vision and diminished vision capacity. Doc says to him that's because according to your preoperative work.....you are a diabetic!!!!!
My brother was never diagnosed before as a diabetic so I guess that answers it. He will be going for blood work tomorrow and be on some pills very soon! Hopefully he will recover good eyesight in that eye asap!!!!!!

At least the diabetes is controllable. SO we have to think positively.
I am going to make some serious changes as well. Now I'm scared.
Jaydee...never a bad thing...I know it's rough but it sure is a wake up call...we can be thankful for that at least! Still sending best wishes for you and yours my friend!
