So i had a zoning board of Appeals meeting last night. Ever need a cure for insomnia??? Eureka have found it!!!!

Hey, watch that!!!! That's more or less what I did for 30+ years. Zoning, subdivisions, environmental analysis, variances, conditional uses....... Obviously, your meeting did not entail rezoning Grandma's 20 acre blueberry farm so make way for 90 or more homes. Ah, the American way!

Actually it included changing the R-1 zoning to commercial so an assisted living place e could be pursued. I had to hear from all the architects and engineers etc. Snooze ville. I was there to settle a property line dispute. Hahaaha

Ahh, fun. Our youngest starts his sophomore year at a brand-new high school this upcoming year. He's pretty excited, as the other high school he was originally slated for is very old. As in 1927 old. But it was the Alma mater of Sam Walton, a Missouri Governor, and several US and State Congress critters.

With the school having been established in 1889, there have been a few grads.

I started my high school years in a huge Dallas campus. Then we moved to a small town where my graduating class was 50.

wow! 50? I thought my graduating class was small. We were 100.
Classes here used to average 300+. These days they are about 225 or so.
We are in the largest HS in the area. Small towns around here!!

My first class was over 600, school was a 3 story rectangle with a huge inner courtyard, an auto shop, and several outbuildings. We even had an indoor rifle range.

The place where I work used to have an auto shop, a metal and woodshop too. And we still have a courtyard. But we are on one floor...and a flat roof...in a place where it snows by the FEET in winter....real smart!

Back then the cop didn't ask who had not been drinking. None of us had gone past 18 years old yet. He asked which of us was sober enough to drive home. Then they took our beer and sent us on our way. We found some of the local cops in a park one night dividing up all the confiscated "evidence". Apparently that was SOP every weekend night.
