I finally made it to the summit and forgot to bring my real camera. The 9930 is my emergency contact accessory. The prior Bold (what was its number) took much better pictures. I did wipe the lens area - they can get gunky. But good lighting is really mandatory for this beast.

Mt Rainier, approx 14,410 feet, is one of the five volcanoes in Washington State and a National Park. It is approx 40 miles away from where I was skiing. I have been to the top of each of them - when I was younger!

That I understand. The parking lot yesterday was more treacherous than the skiing!

I just noticed something ODD about the photos I took with the 9930 yesterday. The regular shots were about a meg or so in size. The ZOOMED images 97k or so. I wonder if there's some setting that affects how they are saved?

I think you are right F2. The total image looks better than zooming in. But why the difference in size?? I don't understand digital file size much so who knows?

I hear ATT might be releasing their Z10s very soon! Can't wait till VZW gets them and I can go actually hold one in my hands and try it out. Also, I might wanna see what the Q10 is like...like the idea of a full screen but LOVE the physical kb...I'm one of those diehards I guess!

I have to admit that I don't spend as much time here as I used to. Part of the reason is the tone of so many of the comments now. Yes, there have always been trolls and other lowlifes, but it seems so much worse now. It's not just here, either. I spend some time over on Android Central too and it's become just as bad there. I haven't gone to the dark side. My daughter has a Galaxy S3, but yes, I'm playing with a Thunderbolt. It's just a toy on a spare line though; my Bold remains my daily driver until BB10 arrives. A white one.
