- As much as I don't want to admit it, I realized this morning (after putting the 9930 back into it's shipping box last night) just how how much faster that new 9930 is than my freshly-reloaded 9650. That 9930 is FAST! It's almost like running my 9650 with OS5 right out of the box. Yes, that fast.
I haven't called FedEX yet to pick up the new phone. Maybe I'll hold on to it for another few days...
If it's faster than the 9650 I'd want it too...but remember you said it was a money thing too. Well good luck with your decision.08-31-11 06:25 AMLike 0 - Nope. It's a done deal. The box is on its way to the FedEX store.

Congrats on your decision Underway!!!
Now Midd, I hated BBM.129 because it lagged terribly. Are you saying that the new BETA 1.15 is good?????08-31-11 11:45 AMLike 0 -
- Oh, I wanted to keep it. But I just couldn't justify keeping it. I'll have one when this 9650 gives up.08-31-11 12:05 PMLike 0

- Very likely. This thing (my 9650) is a tank. I've not been terribly kind to it lately. I broke my Seidio belt holster, so I had to remove its Otterbox and carry it naked in the BB leather holster that came with the phone. I was holding off on buying a new holster from Seidio because of the 9930 issue.
I have a fresh unactivated FRU 9650 here in a box, too. I could be using a 9650 for some time, maybe even until the QNX superphones really DO get released.08-31-11 12:13 PMLike 0 - Very likely. LMAO!!!!!
PS Midd...which BBM am I looking for now??? I'm confused!08-31-11 12:20 PMLike 0 - It's an app error that seems to be related to net_rim_bbapi_mailv2. MailMinder was the culprit last time I saw this, when I was using 466 with King's v5 hybrid. The answer then was to load an earlier version of the net_rim_bbapi_mailv2.cod file. Changing the COD this time had no effect -- I still get the error, but it looks to be related somehow to apps that call net_rim_bbapi_mailv2.cod. The only other thing I've changed is loading the beta BBM.
Here's the log:

The refurb is a replacement that I ordered for my wife to replace her 9650 with a trackpad issue. The day after I ordered it, she decided that she wanted the 9930. I waited for the 9930 and made the switch, then sent back the old 9650. I got the refurb as a warranty replacement, so it's mine to keep. I just put it into a 9650 box with a new battery and all the accessories. Complete package on the shelf.
If you want one, I have a FRU Tour package here, too. That one may go back to BlackBerry if they make the new BB7 phones eligible for the tradeup program.Last edited by Underway99; 08-31-11 at 12:30 PM.

- See...that's what I was wondering...I got the email from Beta zone to upgrade to this beta bbm but it also said to not upgrade if using bbm music...
I'm waiting for my invite for that btw....
SO it works? Then maybe I will try this beta bbm....08-31-11 04:34 PMLike 0 - Yes it does. I have it working fine and I'm in a BBM group that at least 6 people have BB Music and it works for them.hamsterwheel likes this.08-31-11 06:35 PMLike 1

- I just had lunch at a little place we love here in Albany. I had broccoli and shrimp over linguini. How does that sound? Yummy!!!!!

http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...s-only-645199/09-01-11 05:55 PMLike 0 - Underway, got a question for you, I've now tried out four 9930's and one 9900. The one constant between all of them is the touchscreen and trackpad combo is really weird. I suppose one could get used to it eventually, but here's my observation: When on a website the cursor will not go to the top of the screen unless I give the track pad a good goosing. However, then it disappears usually and I find it on the bottom of the screen again. Most of the time it will not go past the bottom half of the screen. Is this fixed in the leaked os upgrade, or just the general qwerky-ness of it's movement is fixed?
My opinion only but from my tryouts the touch pad/cursor and touch screen are constantly fighting each other. It's kind of hard and really frustrating. I'd of smashed all of these with a hammer. RIM doesn't seem to have this down pat yet. Did your upgrade to the leak fix these issues? I feel sorry for anyone who buys one of these and they're not update savvy.09-01-11 06:20 PMLike 0
