Its not a rule but i suspect both VZW and sprint pay into a fund to help development especially for the carrier specific OS and most likely to partner with RIM on generic advertising. Because of verizons larger customer base and sales volume they have the leverage to make sure it goes in the contract that they should be first to release.

Please. VZW just drags their feet on all BB releases due to their "stringent" testing, yet somehow the products and OS updates that they release still seem to be crap. It took them forever to release the Storm and the Tour and yet those were nowhere close to being "top of the line".

I could not agree more....what a joke.

You would think that with all their testing we would not have a single issue. Either they are really not testing them like they say they do; or their testers are very accepting of pretty much anything.

I am starting to hate all the carriers and the manufacturers. Ready to go back to my Razr!

But I just checked verizonwireless, and under smartphone, it now says (20) instead of the 19...but I can only count 19 phones..
I dont know what this means, but possibly a release?

Somebody else said that they noticed there was 21 phones listed the other day but was shortly changed back to 19.

I got an email from my VZW Business sales rep.

"The latest is they will be available through our demo program on the 20th...Which usually means they will launch the week after."
