I dont understand why RIM and the carries arent at least a little more open with these releases. I think at a point it becomes natural not to want to wait for merely speculated releases and go with another phone. RIM carry the weight it used to, there is plenty of viable solutions from their competitors.
It will be announced on March 31st and the fools will start lining up on April Fools Day to buy the refurbed Tour 2 with trackpad and wifi, now called Bold 9650 because it has a faux pleather battery door with the word Bold stamped on it.

Just because you don't want or need the 9650, that doesn't make the rest of us, who have been waiting for it, fools.
sorry guys, i couldnt wait any longer. Made the move from Sprint to AT&T for the 9700, and couldnt be happier. Good luck with the wait guys, hopefully its as good as they've hyped it up to be.
Oh, so you mean you will be waiting in line on April 1 or there the night before?

Definitely NOT for this phone!
However, IF they were to release something that surpassed the Bold 9700 in processor speed and performance, had more flash memory and a longer battery life... nah, not even then.

You obviously have not read much of what I have said about this Tour2/Bold3/Essex/9650 and what a disappointment it will be when it turns out to be not much more than a T1 with t-pad and wifi.
I will stick with the six T1s and two 9700s we currently have at our office and wait for something that is a real improvement and step up, not settle for a refurb patch phone if that is all that it is.

Isn't this really the only things people are expecting this phone to have as an upgrade? Atleast thats all im looking for in this phone.

Some people want more, expect more maybe, like myself. Don't want to spend more money for what the T1 should have been in the first place, at least equal to a CDMA 9700 with trackpad and wifi. If one really does not need wifi, which many do not, then it is only a fix/patch for the trackball, which many have no problems with at all. So, don't really see this as an "upgrade" but a fix. However, nearly after the release of the T1, some would like to see some bigger improvements now like a faster processor, more flash/appl memory and a bigger battery with much longer life. Don't really care what they stick on the battery door cover, just want some real improvements that can be utilized.
