The Tour with Bell Mobility is 49.99 on 3yr term. I ask the other day if they are still selling them and the CSR told me no and they have little or no stock of the Tour! Very Short Live Tour, more like a walk in the park!
Yeah...I cannot wait for it; sure glad I waited on the track pad. After trying it again on another device, it definitely is different, but for me, sure seems more precise and easier to move.

I upgraded on 12/10 to the Tour (9630). I was wondering if I would be able to return it before the end of the 30 days (01/09/2010) and get the Essex/Tour 2/9650... Say the Tour 2 will be out by then?
Does anyone have a clue what their policy would be?
yes, you can return any Verizon phone within 1st 30 days. I think the corporate stores in my area charge $35 for this. I don't know if this a national price.

Tour 2 may not be out by your 30 day limit. I say return it completely and go get a Tour 2 when it's released.
I can't wait for the Essex! Hopefully it comes out within the next 20 days. I'll return my 8530 b 4 the 30 days are up. The restocking fee is a small price to pay for what I think is going to be an awesome device.
Is the Essex battery going to be better than the 8530 battery? This thing bites!! Can't even get a full day out of it. Thank God for a car charger!
Not that it means much but I was in a verizon store outside Nashville today and I was looking at the tour and new curve trying to decide if I wanted to risk the 30 day period and the restocking fee or not since my mom is insisting on upgrading my phone for Christmas and won't wait because "you have to have something to actually open on Christmas..."
But anyway, mom asked a lady who was helping us (she was a tech person not a sales or manager since they were so busy) about the new tour and she said:
"Oh yeah, I remember seeing it in the system but can't remember the date, let me go check for you."
So we were sitting there thinking we just scored and about 5 minutes later a manager walked over and was like
I am the manager here and I have never heard anything of a new tour. From now on if you have any questions please let someone in sales answer them.
and she sent a lady over who started trying to sell us the current tour. Anyway, take it for what it's worth but obviously the Tour2 is in their systems and the sales people aren't supposed to say anything about it.
I know this has all already been said but I can't wait much longer. They will probably stop running BOGO Blackberrys right after Christmas and Tour2 within the first 10 days of Jan.
I was in a sprint store last night having my trackball cleaned and I asked the guy helping me if he new the release date of the new tour. He said "its out now" and pointed to the one in the store. I said not that one the 9650 and he said "oh, I can't tell you that because the new curve is coming out first". Which He probably meant in store since you can order it online line already. But there seems to be a release date coming up soon. Hopefully someone will spill the beans soon.
Well gang, it looks like the Tour 2 (Essex) wont' be out by Christmas, January at the earliest. I was kind of hoping to have the Essex to play with Christmas morning but oh well. At least it is coming.
I can stay away from this site for that long.
