I am passing along this information, for your perusal. Do with it what you may.
Here's a lil fun tidbit.
Making the news today, and past stories some have forgotten. Funny how the same people who can't even protect their own networks wanna have power over ours.
I don't get the big issue. Clearly the bill needs to be more specific, but it's not like Obama is going to start picking houses and playing pranks on them lol... Cyber terrorism or whatever is a serious threat and I agree something should be put into place along these lines. As the bill stands, of course things need to be defined though because you don't want to give anyone power over any network in the country without any limits of course.
Oh but wait, Obama is a socialist so he will probably make sure everyone's internet is the same speed and everyone only uses a limited amount of data ha
...You guys are...
...ugh...
THIS IS NOT A BAD THING!
If there is a cyber attack most people don't know how to...
Most people can't even figure out how to unhook and rehook up the PC. If there is a national attack and everyone's data is stolen and sold you'd be whining that this didn't already happen. One of the party will spin it into a "Well they aren't protecting America" topic and it will be a ****storm.
This is not a bad thing. Just because you think you can do it yourself doesn't mean that others can't. Why don't you get pissy over the ability to shut down highways or ports in times of emergency?
Ok, just what is gonna be considered a 'cyber threat'. Perhaps the fact of people sharing information, communicating? Kinda like Iran during their last election, locking down their internet. Like Burma, China?
This bill is too loosely worded, far too nebulous, and quite frankly, is a violation of the First Amendment to our Constitution.
If you have faith in our government 'friends', I hope you enjoy your shackles.

From what I read, this was dreamed up by the Senate, and has yet to make to it to the house. Nor do I see where the President has had any hand in this, so whatever anyones dislikes for him, bash him about something else. Jay Rockefeller, and most of his colleagues have been in office way to long, and it's definitely time to send them all packing.
I pose one question to those who bash the President on this, what would you say if this came up while Bush was President?
It isnt Bush, its the obamanation. & yes he does have a hand in this. This is socialism in its infant form! Yes I AM A REPUBLICAN!

Well if cyber terrorist can hack into our jets, government buildings and etc... They can just turn the internet connections back on. Its harder to hack into the controls of our F-22 Raptors then into internet network connections.
Also if cyber terrorists can hack into our guidance gps satellites (missiles and etc..), well never mind.
Thnx, Tripster
