Oh for goodness sakes! We've been going over and over this. We've had plenty of Democratic presidents and aren't socialists yet. The bailout proposal on the table is the most socialist thing I've ever seen and it was given to us by a Republican. We're in this mess because of Republicans. As I've said, the Republicans have had the White House for 38 of the last 50 years and had at least one house of congress for all but two years of the last 16 years.

Nobody's calling you a racist, Prada. I liked Hillary better than Obama and I'm not a racist, but I can't see giving the people who got us into this mess any more chances.

Because Mccain was a POW doesn't make him a better canidate.I am voting for Obama. Just because he is the first real black man who has a chance to be the leader of the free world. When a mother tells her child he or she can be president she will have someone to point to and say I told you. Mccain and his beer heiress are old and played just politics as normal. change means not having the same looking type of person running things. Put a black man in office shows that the civil rights movement wasn't just a history lesson and something a lot people died for. But a real oppurtunity to make a difference. Lincoln and King would be proud.as with all politicans the vote for lesser of 2 evils is still evil no matter who actually gets there may they keep their word put america back in the lead. Fix education, the economy ,the enviroment and end our obession with oil.

Did anyone watch the monkey we call a president address the nation last night?

He's at the end of his rope and he's just now saying, "oh, well, it could be a crisis." Welcome to today id!ot! I can't stand Bush. I can't wait until November! He really irritates me. I'd love to meet him just to laugh at him. I'm surprised he hasn't been assassinated since 2004. I thought for sure that was going to happen.

    He's such a goober.

(On a side note, why can't you say id!ot?)

I hate to say this, but you embody the reason many people dont like Obama. People are voting for him because he is black. He does not embody change at all, he is the same left wing liberal that has been around for years, he is just re packaged.

Well If you reread my post Hi Def, you'll see that I asked if thats how the electoral college worked because I was unsure.

But I guess it's a sin to ask questions.

We would all be better off blindly following what we're told.

So I guess I'm the Devil because I'm Left Handed.

And things don't fall because of Gravity-

They Fall because nasty little overweight invisible entities latch onto objects and propel them forcibly to the ground.

Yupp that all sounds about right.

    Right?

if we want to talk experience lets take a look at mccains actions over the lat 48 hours...

for someone who has all this "experience" why did it take so long for him to realize that our economy is at a dangerous intersection? all of a sudden he has to "suspend" his campaign? and now that the deal has been reached in the house and senate, he's still not sure if he can make the debate on friday? so when the going gets rough will he suspend the presidency? there WILL be more than one issue to handle at a time in the oval office....oh btw there are currently two wars we're fighting at the moment...

give me a break, experience is a non issue...bush got elected (by the electoral college not the popular vote) after serving 6 years as gov of texas....that was the extent of his government experience, obama at least has prior state gov't experience as well as senate experience....this "experience" factor is propaganda

one last point....mccain LOST to bush 8 years ago...america didnt think he was right for the job then and im fairly certain they wont now

Well If you reread my post Hi Def, you'll see I asked if thats how the electoral college worked because I was unsure.
And if you'll re-read my post; in my first paragraph...you'll see that I answered your question via directing you to what exelant had already posted about regarding the electoral thread. I didn't want to be redundant in repeating what he said...so I told you to read his post.

And in my second paragraph; I didn't include you in the 'some' category. I was talking about those 'some' that speak about the electoral college as if they came up with the process themselves...when they barely know anything about its nuts and bolts.

But I guess it's a bad thing to ask questions.
    Certainly not.

It is however a bad thing to not ask questions regarding things one thinks they already know the definitive answers to...such as your comment on Palin's prowess compared to Obama.

Let's all just make misinformed decisions, don't ask questions!

There's no need to verify information!

Just go with what you were taught, whether it's right or wrong.

    Sounds like a great plan!

    Thanks!
Didn't even have to read the fine print to get this; because it makes clear sense...it's no wonder you feel the way you do about Palin. But then whats perplexing is; if you're a fan of knowing the facts and getting your information right (which I am too; and we all should be)...then what criteria/basis are you going on for saying Palin supercedes Obama? I'm just curious.

You must be going on information; not facts...two different things.

Remember folks, things don't fall down because of gravity!

Things Fall down as a direct result of Mischievous, Overweight, Invisible entities that latch onto falling objects to propel them towards the ground.

    And that is a fact.

awww hehe...your sarcasm is just 'cho cute...teehehe; I wish it could take shape so that I can give it a big 'ol; yet not so liddle, iddle, widdle...hug.

I'll gladly take you up on that offer Hi Def-

If Only you give me a crash course on the candidates.

See, the sad thing is all of us "normal" people can only go by "information" as you call it.

It's hard to sift through all the "information" and get the facts when you have the media/news/general population, talking about all these scandal and stories.

Who's right and Who's wrong- Is Lindsay Lohan really a lesbian?

In the end, I'd much rather be lazy and not vote.

Bush is gonna win his third term anyway. Regardless of how we feel.

    LOL

Wow...that has to be one of the most narrow-minded, age discriminating, biased, and racially motivated comments that I have ever seen...sugar-coated with victimization and hatred.

And we wonder why we are, where we are today!

I apologize to everyone else (except to the recipient); for what I said above. I also want to say that the things vinnie_d says; speak for the credibility and nature of him as a human being. This discussion should be based on facts. Here's one...

John S. McCain = George W. Bush, or McCain = Bush...I can stand a mirror in front of that too if you want...Bush = McCain.

This is what kills me about her being picked. I know a dozen people who are town managers with tons more expeience who would never think they are qualified to be VP.
If Palin loves this country as she says she does...why couldn't she have declined McCain asking her to be his running mate? Why couldn't she have said something along the lines of, "Sir, I'm awesome at shooting moose and looking at Russia through my Bushnell binoculars; and I appreciate that you want me as your running mate to try to shore up the female vote and Republican base...however, I'm not qualified to be the VP of the country I love and I sure as **** am not qualified to act competently as the President of this mighty nation if the need calls for it."

To me, I consider a component of patriotism to both praise/question the country; and admit the honest truth when it's needed...even it means humbling one's self down to admit the truth for the greater good...even when that truth is against one's self.

    Apples to Oranges.

Millions of people chose who the democratic nominee for President will be. One person chose who the republican running mate as Vice President will be.

I can't list the Millions of people; it'd take too long. I can name the One person though...John McCain.

Hillary Clinton supports Obama; and supports the choice of millions of Americans that voted for him to become the democratic nominee. The fact is; both Hillary and Obama are competent enough to run our country; and neither of them sided 90% with Bush as McCain has.
