Mmmmm....all this makes me want some of my Bacon Burgers.
You start out by fully cooking 1 lb of Bacon.
Add about 90 - 95 % of the Bacon grease to 5 lbs of lean ground sirloin
Break half of the bacon strips into crumbles and add them
to the ground sirloin. Mix until bacon grease and crumbles
are completely distributed throughout the ground sirloin, and form
into patties..
Season patties with onion and garlic powder as desired
and cook until they are approximately medium...
Apply Cheese (if desired) and heat until melted.
Grill buns in pan used for cooking bacon, using bacon grease instead
of butter until buns are lightly browned...
Assemble burger and apply condiments of choice...
Oh my. That sounds delicious but I'd probably have a heart attack after!
Sounds awesome, but... we have a serious issue here. You have failed to account for the other half of the cooked bacon. Can we say Bacon Police?
Well Trucky, the last step is
Assemble burger and apply condiments of choice...
While I guess that I wasn't specific enough, I thought that it would
be obvious that one applies the remaining bacon strips to the burger during the assembly process. After all, how could one make a self respecting artery clogging bacon burger without bacon strips on it...
Of course, that is if you don't eat most of it while cooking the burgers..
a sexy cheese....like pepperjack. ouch wait scratch that. peeprjack a poor choice in cheese undies. Maybe a baby swiss, sort of a peek-a-boo thing ya know?
then Im going to fashion a belly chain out of a string of hot dogs. I hate belly chains, but when its made of pork, sign me up.
The people of Canada sure love their bacon. In a recent survey conducted by Maple Leaf Foods, 43% of the respondents said they would rather have bacon than sex. Are you surprised? If youre a daily reader of Bacon Today the answer is probably no. In fact, youre probably asking a question of your own Canadian or Traditional bacon? Sadly, the survey was not that specific.
Some other interesting findings in the survey:
Move over High Karate23% of men ranked bacon as their number one favorite fragrance
Four out of five respondents (82%) who said they love bacon also said they are good lovers
Nearly one in four of respondents (23%) wondered if my partner loves bacon more than me
How about you? If you had to chose, would your choice be bacon or sex? Hmmmm.
