Addition - I also have a fear I will run out of battery juice to charge my phone, so I always carry a spare charger with me.

Obsessed? Yeah, probably so. I embrace it.

I wouldn't say I really have a fear of being without my phone, but I do get somewhat of an uneasy feeling if I forget at home for any reason. It's not a good feeling. It's almost like I wanna run home and get it but if I know I'm not gonna be out long I usually restrain myself.

Lol damn straight. Before I had a BB I was bad now that I have a BB it's full blown! I've only thought I lost my BB once since I got it and lets just say I was in full crisis mode lol you'd have thought I lost a loved one.

Absolutely! I feel naked whenever I forget ot bring my phone out with me, or god forbid I lose it. In such cases I would unconciously reach for my phone where I usually put it and die a little inside eachtime my hand comes back without the phone.

Is there a word for feeling "phantom pages," the feeling that your phone is vibrating on your hip when it's not there?

I'm not afraid of not having my phone, it's actually pretty relaxing. I can watch that little red light blink from across the room and I just give it the finger and go back to whatever I'm doing in the 3-dimensional world. I can even leave it in the car if I'm at a baseball game or something.

But man, I get those phantom pages.

this is from usa today... i remember seeing this on yahoo earlier this year...

"Some call it "phantom vibration syndrome." Others prefer "vibranxiety" the feeling when you answer your vibrating cellphone, only to find it never vibrated at all."

I have it, but why is that a problem? If I do not have my BB in hand, I start scratching and my eyes get all glassy. Whoa! Bad times.
