Surprisingly there was NO ONE in the theater when I went. Of course I went at 12.20 but still I was expecting more people. But when I got out there was a line almost as big as the ones when Star Wars was coming out

Looks like $156 Mil in the books for the weekend and Spiderman 3 goes Down!
If you take into account the cost of tickets back than to now, Spider-Man 3 I think actually still beats out DK. Tickets by me run up to $12

True true ink but ticket prices didnt rise that much from last year. Now the thing is to look at older movies and see where they stand in relation to ticket prices..

The main difference with the movie and spiderman 3 is that this one doesnt Suck...So repeat viewings are going to be huge.

Here is the actuals for ticket prices in 2007 the average ticket prices was $6.88 and today it is $7.08 so a lil increase

Well here we are Weekend #2 for the Dark Knight is here. ........

I will say that i dont rememeber a second frame $100 million for any movie and if i am correct i think that Shrek 2 was closest with $72 million. I would research but my Surf Controll of my Work Blocks anything movie related.

I am gonna say that The Dark Knight pulls in a amazing $105 million in its second weekend. Now we may want to start talking if this can beat Star Wars for alltime Domestic #2 spot....it has a huge hill to climb to cathc upto Titanic wich was playing for like half the year in theaters or something like that. We will see!!!!!!!

Also we got 2 other movies that are not push overs....
Will Farrell Step Brother which should do about $24mil and X-Files 2....which should bring in around $35- 40mil depending on if the fans of the show wanna see it like i think they will.....although there has been very little press or Spots run on the Movie so i may end up finding myself way off!

I haven't seen this movie yet and hope to tomorrow, if the lines aren't long again. My guess with what's going on in the news, $88 million.

ok the J$ saturday updat.....Dark Knight pulled in $24 mil on Friday and should end up $74-78mil through weekend so it will have the largest Second weekend ever!

What did supprise me is the X-Files TANKED it in Big time...We are looking at a 14-18mil weekend for it. Also Step Brothers is gonna make about $24-28 million bouncing Will Farrel back to a positive Box-office figure and after the disappointment from Semi Pro!

I am in a dorky way wondering how it will hold up over the week. With many colleges and schools out i think we can see good weekday numbers to.. Maybe 6- 9 million per day.
I was checking it everday this week on Yahoo movies, and it was 16-24 million a day, not counting last night (Friday).

I actually like the first 2 Mummy movies! I actually like there Director and that Genre of film. Stephen Sommers is cool. If you never saw Deep Rising its a must. A funny Actioner as well as Van Helsing.
Now he didnt direct this one!

As for The Dark Knight~ i love how the media has run out of positive things to say about the movie and now are bringing up the way Christian Bale sounds in the Bat Suit...OH well i guess any news is Good News if your trying to keep the Money Coming in at the Box Office right!
