    I have been doing some research on Serial Killers as part of an independent study. I have a list of names that I want to run by you. Please post a reply with your choice of who you think is the worst serial killer ever. You can also add names that are not in the list:

    Hitler and Manson were mass murderer's who were responsible for a large number of the deaths at one time. Serial killers kill on an individual basis of a long period of time.

    I agree with LSG's choice for number one.

    i'd have to say the church. do you know how many people have died "in the name of God"? all the "heathens" who wouldn't convert, the free thinkers who went against the ideals of the church? the innocents burnt at the stake who were declared witches? and throw in the crusade wars too....
