To all the pet experts, I have a question. Our male kitty is about 8 months old now and he recently learned he can spray. He's also been chasing around our adult female cat who is already fixed. My question is, would getting the male kitty fixed help with this? Is there a certain age where males should be fixed by otherwise he may not be able to get a cat pregnant but still have the annoying male problems?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! We're used to female cats and have always got them fixed but not sure about the boys.

Posted via CB1004-15-13 12:04 AM - Here is a picture of our Fergus, an American Cocker Spaniel. After 13 wonderful years we had to say good bye to him on Saturday. It was perhaps the most difficult decision I have made in 47 years. My wife and I cried like babies. Our children (17,15 and 13) chose to stay at home while we went to the vet. After trying to convince them to come with us, I am actually glad they didn't.

This is Fergus with our Ruby (Olde English Sheepdog) - Best friends. Ruby has been depressed for the past couple days, missing her buddy. We feel so bad for Ruby. She has not had a day without Fergus in her life.
To cheer up the moment, here is Ruby when we brought her home from the breeder, Feb 2008.

When I get feeling down about the guy we lost -- and I still do 5 years on -- I just think about the good life we gave him and hope his years with us were as happy for him as he made ours.04-15-13 10:26 AM
