Corporate secrecy and lying

I see so many posts about people who have honest legitimate questions for hardware (BlackBerry) makers and carriers and they can not get either an honest or consistent answer. For example, ask a verizon rep about the z30 and it is a different answer each time. Ask BlackBerry and they just won't tell the truth or won't answer. Ask crackberry to investigate the verizon z30 situation and just silence. How does this really benefit anyone? What's wrong with just giving out truthful consistent answers to the customer?

IMHO.....I would say you were asking the wrong people those questions.
All a sales rep knows is to sell enough products to keep him/her on the job and bring in money for the company. And they dodge questions that won't help them meet their target.
Same thing applies to whoever you are asking in Blackberry.
