My ol' man drove nothing but Wildcats and 98th's. He'd go back and forth from Buick to Olds every other year or two and I drove 'em all! Learned to 4 wheel drift them suckers on da gravel roads by the time I was 15, the ol' man taught me.
The '63 98 was rare (they didn't make many that year and became very rare, I happened to come across one in the seventies and bought it for him, I'll never forget the look on his face!)
BTW, this was all my old man's music that I grew up listening to and still love, man it must have been great to have driven that big ol' buick to seen LZ or PF live in the day.
For both, 'the day' spans over 3 decades. I can't comment on when each was first formed, but at their peaks, it most certainly was!

I was at the Led Zep "lighter" concert at the Montreal forum which started the whole candle thing, we all lit matches and lighters when they where about to play Stairway to heaven, the whole place went right quiet, this moment was absolute magic, an incredible experience, I will never ever forget. Saw Pink Floyd at the Montreal Autostade which was an outdoor venue, I had a "seat" on the turf, this was the Dark side of the moon tour, another indescribable experience that I will never forget. Yes, I do remember some of the seventies, just not a whole lot lol.
Jewel is definitely one of the better singers out there these days. There has been a big resurgence of people who can actually sing and not just stand up there and autotone their way thru a beat.
That was my irritation with Beyonce faking her inaugural song. I don't care about the perfect rendition as much as I care about someone trying their best. Don't give me her best studio version, give me the raw emotion of trying to nail it LIVE.
