What bands is it meant bring in? I know there's a rule of thumb, half or double the length of the antenna has something to say about the wavelength.

Yes it does, and that's why I'm working on getting this outdoor antenna back in service. Remember why the styrofoam "door" was put in? Higher frequencies such as WiFi and cell are affected much more by the insulation.

It's an active antenna (amplified) and is good on shortwave 2.5 - 17.5 Mhz.
