Unfortunately it's more the coronavirus staying home and eating too much! Before retirement I was around 195-200. I gained 5 pounds in the year before the virus and another 5-7 since. Around 212-215 now. Still not close to my all time high of 228. If I ever get that heavy again my wife has instructions to to put me down. Or perhaps that's what she told me she'd do if I ever get that heavy.
Retirement increases the waist line, eh

Absolutely and I am very good at it. Pays pretty well, too.
Retirement is a full time occupation is it not?

I feel your pain. About 180 b4 the virus.....as of today, 208. Doesn’t help that I was sidelined between December and March.

I gained a few pounds before the CV19 lockdown while staying at our sisters place in Florida over the winter months, but we are now back to eating healthy food. We find that so many folks eat processed food which is garbage.

I have lost 15 pounds and want to loose another 5-10 before my cardiologist appointment the end of October, it’s all about eating good food, at least it works for my twin bother and myself.

??? Trump publicly states that Canada wants to reopen the border.
Stop getting sucked into Trump's fake news.

What I posted is FACT. You really need to get a radio or a TV or are you still getting your knowledge from the 1972 Eatons Catalog? :-) :-)
I think you and I agree that the border isn't closed, regardless of the fact that is what they are calling it. Governments are spinning the facts all over the place, including the Canadian Government, when it suites them and they've been doing it for years and way before Trump came around. You also repeated some of Trump's fake news. Like I said, various fake news all over the place. I wasn't calling you a lier. I was supplementing the position you were representing.

"We're looking at the border with Canada. Canada would like it open, and, you know, we want to get back to normal business," Trump said at the White House, adding that "we're going to be opening the borders pretty soon" to take advantage of the renegotiated NAFTA.

Wrong, Canada wants nothing to do with reopening the border yet as proved consistently by polls running at an average of 90 percent against reopening the border.
The U.S. has 9 times the population of Canada, but has 47 times the number of cumulative cases of Covfefe-19 and 22 times the number of deaths.
I think the border should stay closed until Fat Orange is long gone. It's gonna take some time to fix his mess.

There is a difference between "Canada" and "Canadians". Presumably, Trump is talking about ongoing and frequent discussions his side has been having with their counterparts from Canada, those people within the Canadian Government that represent Canada during foreign discussions. Presumably, his statements aren't talking about the opinions of the majority of Canadians about if border restrictions should remain tight or should already now start to loosen.

Presumably also, even you would indeed like the border to return to "normal" eventually, as soon as things are safer.

"Pretty Soon" is a loaded statement and not specific. From some perspectives, two years is "soon" in terms of the dynamics of international trade and trade trends, etc...

So, I'd say that if those words you quoted were Trump's, then he stated accurately that Canada would indeed like the border back to normal. While he was saying that, he probably specifically choose not to mention that Canada isn't actually supporting yet lessening the border restrictions and that the majority of Canadians don't want to yet lessen restrictions. Why would he state such? That wouldn't be something that would be beneficial to him to say.
