You probably think how I got my nickname. So, the nicknames I actually wanted were already taken. So I chose this one. But what does Praesus mean? I will tell you. Praesus was an ancient city in Crete near my home town Sitia. Below is a link from Wikipedia where you can read everything about it.

The engineers who designed the SRBs would have preferred to make them a bit larger, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory happens to run through a tunnel in the mountains, and the SRBs had to fit through that tunnel. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track, as you now know, is about as wide as two horses’ behinds.

So, a major Space Shuttle design feature of what is arguably the world’s most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse’s ***.

What was the relevance between the size of the space shuttle and it's boosters and the size of a horse's as*?

    Relates to trains.

So tunnels are related to somewhat roundabout terms, arseholes?

Almost, but not quite. The rest of the story includes some other details, like the fact that the width of the tracks was based on the width of the train car axles, and when they started making train cars they went to wagon and carriage manufacturers of the day , and those guys had designed the axles they built based on the convient size of what would fit comfortably for in the space of the rear ends of a team of horses. So, the size of a horse's as* is what dictated the design for the space shuttle. Or something like that.
