Back to the dentist for 8 bottom extractions on Wednesday! Bring on those needles, elevators and forceps. I'm hoping that this time there's not going to be too much cutting into the jawbone. Anybody want to see my upper gums looked like after the extractions?

Yikes, I'd be in the bathroom for a long time after 6 bananas...

Do you have a blender? Why not make some creamy soup by pureeing veggies and some milk or a cream in the blender with some seasonings? Then just heat it and pour into a large mug for a hot meal you don't have to chew.

Maybe in another week or two I could have a grilled cheese sandwich.... My mouth is watering. Had 6 bananas for supper last night.

Yeah, homemade lasagna can’t be beat. It’s even better when someone else makes it.

Since we are on the topic... there is nothing wrong with your LE. Lots of people who have never owned a BlackBerry Key device love to chime in and tell you how to use your phone. So I'll do but based upon the fact that I have a BlackBerry device.

If you have the heart to do it, I'd suggest a factory reset and set it up as originally intended. Then pull back on things that concern you. There is no need to start adding multiple store sites when mostly everything you need is in the playstore..

Thanks yama, I appreciate the advice, and I've come to agree that my original frustration with the phone was not because the device was faulty, but because I didn't know how to properly use or control things I'd never dealt with before. (A manual would have helped a LOT here...)

But I also knew that if at all possible, I was going to try not handing Google all my personal info just so it can monitor my use of the phone and tailor ads accordingly. It's bad enough on the web, but on my own hardware, it is beyond the pale intrusive.

There are several CB forum threads by people who have successfully de-Googled their phones, so I was certain I could manage it.

I have 4 or 5 alternative stores installed, 2 of which are redundant and which I will probably get rid of. All I really need is a way to download mainstream apps without handing Google my location or contact info (use Yalp or Aurora), plus a way to install indie and open source apps which Google Play Store wouldn't necessarily have anyway (use F-droid or ApkPure).

I will probably install a VPN that I can use cross platform. Right now I use one on my laptop, but it never worked on my BB10 devices.

So even if I were to do a factory reset, I'd set it up almost exactly as I have it now.

Just sent an email to my dentist.

    "Dr. Swanlund,

I hear that you have an appointment on Wednesday at High Noon this week with my Cochise.

Look it's not hard. Unless you want to make it hard.... 8 teeth is all. My Cochise is a busy man. Do it right or face the consequences. Play it smart and make sure that there is some swag offered on departure.

Do you know how hard it is to find a simple denture brush? Visited 3 Shoppers Drug Marts with no satisfaction....

    Do the right thing....
