I get that. I live where winter temps can go for 7 months some years. But my body is most happy at 80-92F. Just as I start to relax and enjoy those warm temps, Boom! 50s. Then 40s. Then 30s down to as far as it can go. All before mid-November this year. I've been wearing fleece for a month already, and a winter parka for the last 2 weeks. My body is having trouble going from smooth skin (I don't do AC at home) and lots of daily Vitamin D from the sun, to indoor heat and moisturisers and supplements, 6 weeks before the winter solstice.

No, the cruel part is that it didn't even make it to 60° here today. Quite a shock when you are used to mid 80s.

2am check. (Got up to use yama's Shed-Bo, realized he kicked over the chamber pot, and changed my mind. Smelled like scout camp latrines in there. *gag*)

At this time of year given the elevation of the sun you will get very little production of Vitamin D from the sun. I suffer from eczema caused by a lack of Vitamin D and the cure is a Vitamin D Sun Lamp. It only emits a certain range of UVB rays (so no you don't tan!) but it will recreate 500 minutes of exposure to the sun in 5 minutes.

Hmmmm thanks, yama. Probably my SADD light won't do that. But I do burn easily (forget about tanning, light beige is about all I get by the end of the summer, since I live in 50 SPF sunscreen for 3 months) and yeah, if I see UVB in the description, I tend to stay away. I'll read about it though.
