Tell us something about fountain pens. I think I remember trying one back in the sixties as a child but the ink ended up in my mouth lol. Why do you still use them?

LOL. I was actually born in 1969, so I didn't start using them until 1981, when I was in the 7th grade. I have always liked them, since I am able to do a lot of writing without getting writer's cramp, since very little pressure is needed to be placed on the nib to write.

This is the pen I'm currently using. It's a replica of the Conklin Mark Twain Crescent filler. The nib is medium, and I'm using Noodler's 54th Massachusetts ink.

That'd a headphone valve (aka vacuum tube amplifier). I also use valve phono preamp and valve power amp on my stereo system to play my vinyl LPs.

Usage of the word valve in electronics is very British. And actually quite accurate when it comes to describe a vacuum tube.

I prefer the term "valve" from my college physics courses. For the most part, I feel that the inventors of the English language are more correct than any others who adopted that language.

Ah, so let's narrow it down... what nationality do you identify with? My parents were British/Polish but obviously being born in Canada I identify myself as Canadian

I identify as an American, but I've always had a fondness for British literature. My English electives were British literature, not American literature. I also prefer British rock music, rather than American rock music. The only American music I really enjoy is jazz.

I saw ELP in 1998 and King Crimson in 2017. I also saw Pink Floyd in 1994. I wasn't old enough to see these bands in their heydays, but at least I saw them before the members died or the bands broke up.
