I say EVERYDAY is a Saturday and a holiday because I worked on Saturdays and holidays.
The difference is I loved my work, so it wasn't really work at all. I got paid to party.
As a musician, I opened for such acts as Kenny Loggins, Crosby, Stills and Nash and Jackson Browne back in the '70.
When I wasn't touring I bartended for Bill Graham Presents at The Shoreline Amphitheatre, The Hollywood Palace and The Wiltern Theatre.

I opened the first Concert Production Company(Blue Goose) in Santa Cruz in 1970 and a 24 track recording studio Mello Mountain Music) on my 10 acres in the Santa Cruz Mountains in 1971.

I wasn't lucky. I worked hard to find the connections that would place me where i wanted to be. Sure, it helped to have relatives in the business and backing from family but it was during a time when
all I heard was: " You wanna be a musician? Get a real job and then you can play all the music you want!

I had to prove myself first.
Of course, I had to kidnap myself for the ransom and a few other things I'm proud of but I paid my dues. And, all the partying and drugs and drinking had no effect on me what-so-ever.
Well, it didn't. I was deliriously delusional at birth!

I have a friend down in Santa Cruz who is all about the same music...he still works today at many events down there doing security. I wonder if you ever crossed paths?

Actually, Alaska is # one in the area of tourism. From my deck, I can spot whales in the bay, Bald Eagles, Black and White Bear and Moose have come within feet of my door.
No squirrels though! That worries me!!
